Rapper Takeoff was a member the hip-hop group Migos. They rose to prominence after their viral 2013 single “Versace,” which Drake remixed.
According to TMZ Rapper Takeoff was a member the Grammy-nominated Atlanta-based hip-hop group Migos. He was fatally shot on Tuesday at a Houston bowling alley. He was 28. The outlet reported that the rapper was also shot to death at 2.30am. The TMZ report said that Takeoff was shot after an altercation. According to one eyewitness, Takeoff was shot “either inside or outside his head.” The scene was quickly overturned and the rapper was declared dead.
According to , an altercation took place during a game of dice and someone opened fire.
HTML5 stated in a report that about 50 people were present at the alley at time of shooting. According to the outlet, two additional people were injured in this incident and are currently being treated by a local hospital.
Police have so far not provided any details about the suspects.
Takeoff had uploaded a picture on Instagram of himself at the alley just hours before the shooting. The Fox5 report stated that Takeoff had posted the music video to his new song, “Messy”, the day prior.
Takeoff was born June 18, 1993. His most prominent accomplishments were his membership in Migos, Quavo (his uncle), and Offset (his first cousin, who is married to Cardi B.
