“Positivity is vital. In August, I cried after suffering the worst injury in football, a cruciate ligament tear. Yet, I decided to work hard and return stronger. My mindset was to stay positive, fight, and never give up. Despite others doubting my return, I knew my season wasn’t over.”

“Externally, you see Real Madrid’s grandeur, but being part of it reveals its true impact on global football. They compete for the Champions League every year. “I have two standout moments. One was against Galatasaray, where I made several key saves, building my confidence. The other was winning the Champions League final against Liverpool, making numerous saves and being named man of the match – a highlight of my football career.”

Chus Mateo inaugurated White Week 2024 by emphasizing excellence: “Managing Real Madrid, with its high expectations, is challenging, but I’ve learned much from my colleagues.
