The slogan “White Lives Matter!” was created in 2015 as a racist response of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Kanye West is in hot water after he was photographed wearing a T-shirt titled “White Lives Matter” at his Yeezy fashion store in Paris. On the front, you will see a photo of Pope John Paul 2.
Complex reported that models also wore “White Lives Matter” shirts on the ramp. Conservative commentator Candace Owens wore the white shirt as well.
According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the slogan “White Lives Matter” was developed in a racist reaction to the Black Lives Matter movement of 2015. This slogan is considered hateful by the international NGO.
Ms Owens, Mr West, and she also supported White Lives Matter. However they also criticized Black Lives Matter. CBS reported that Mr West posted a message on his Instagram (now removed) which stated, “Everyone knows Black Lives Matter was scam now it’s over you are welcome.”
Mr. West was criticised for his slogan. Page Six reports on Jaden Smith, the front-row guest, who left the show when he saw these designs. Kanye was later criticised by activists, journalists, and public figures.
Jaden Smith used Twitter to post, “Black Lives Matter”, and “True Leaders Lead.” He also added, “I don’t care who’s it is if i don’t feel The Message I’m Out.”
Marc Lamont Hill from Temple University tweeted, “Kanye West’s decision not to wear a White Lives Matter shirt is dangerous, disgusting, and irresponsible.” Some of you’ll rush to defend them. It is important to ask yourself why …”
Kanye, after being subject to backlash from many people, has issued a statement defending the ‘White Lives Matter’T-shirt.
Kanye posted a photo on Instagram of a black Tshirt. He wrote, “Here is my latest response to people who ask me why i made a shirt that says white lives matter… “YES, THEY DO.”
According to Page Six Kanye is puzzled by the negative feedback he got for his YZY Season Nine Collection.
A Page Six insider said that “he thinks it is a PC phenomenon.” “He wants to be heard on the other side [of America’s race debate]. They said, “He doesn’t understand why people aren’t seeing that.”
Kanye also brutally mocked Gabriella Karefa Johnson’s fashion sense for liking his harshly condemned merchandise.
Later, Gigi Hadid joined Gabriella’s side and slammed Kanye in Kanye’s comments on his Instagram post. Gigi wrote: “You wish u could have a percentage her intelligence. You don’t know haha…She might be the only one who can save you from your stupidity.
