The Court of Appeal has announced the verdict on the Flavio Becca watch case – and decides differently on the whereabouts of the luxury watches.
Flavio Becca, 59, was sentenced on Wednesday to 12 months of suspended imprisonment and a fine of EUR250,000 by the Court of Appeal. All expensive watches worth 18 million euros will be confiscated following Becca’s decision to seize the watches of 540 out of 842 he purchased through various firms. The judge’s detailed explanation isn’t yet available, however, there are allegations of stealing company funds and suspicion of money laundering.
We are very disappointed by the Court of Appeal’s decision. How do I present my reasoning to the Court of Appeal? If you don’t want to, don’t you want to.
Becca: Additional watches to be confiscated by Prosecutors
The appeals process took 4 days in May. It was focused on the shady purchase of timepieces. Some were purchased in Becca’s name, and others were acquired through multiple corporations. The lawyer for Flavio, Maitre Lydie Lorang, answered that her client was looking to seek an order of cassation.
